Xavier Institute of Engineering (XIE) is a well-known brand, with a long history and strong traditions.It is based on the Jesuit ethos that in India also pervades 83 University Colleges, 7 major Institutes of Business Management, 22 technical and 11 research centers, and numerous schools, from the higher secondary to the lower primary. Among its numerous alumni in India are famous Indians in the fields of Politics, Law, Industry, Arts, Literature, Architecture, Science, Technology, Medicine, and Sports.
XIE’s Vision is to nurture the joy of excellence in the world of High Technology. It is driven by the 4 Cs: Competence, Conscience, Commitment, and Compassion to advance its vision of ‘Excellence’, not as a mere ideal but as something to be achieved tangibly, not only through academic programmes and courses but by the use of special facilities and infrastructural amenities including 24×7 lab availability for staff and students, Apple Mac lab to do programming in Swift and Go languages, labs with the latest configuration of computers, and Solar House in the making.
Imparting Quality Education
Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, and Telecommunication are some of the Courses that XIE offers. But its education goes beyond the classroom and lab and covers a variety of social programmes and continuous interactions between students, staff, and Administrators. XIE has a special Gait Lab for those who suffer from Cerebral Palsy. It promotes clean energy, bio-gas, wind and solar energy, and electric vehicles. It also conducts value-added courses on IoT, Cyber Security, AI, BlockChain technology, Embedded Systems, Machine Learning, Data Science. Enormous amount of freedom is given to students to explore their talents. All of whom are absorbed by Companies or go for higher studies abroad. Most students obtain jobs in industry, hence relations with it is important for the Institute so that Students benefit with placements and internship opportunities. Around fifty well-known companies come for recruitment to XIE. Industry personnel come to train the students and grant internships. XIE intends creating a B Tech in Cyber Security, Blockchain Technology, and the Internet of Things.
